I am still purging files from last year and I discovered a hidden folder with some images taken last year. Why am I so excited?? I forgot about this location that I wanted to shoot. I took this picture last Summer to remind me to shoot there this year. I cannot wait!! Any takers?
For Beginning Photographers: Study the composition and think of where you would place your subject. Its all about the light!

Ross - we cannot wait to get to Atlanta to have a photo session with you! We'll be calling before we come down this summer.

Ross, I'd place the subject to the right of the tallest sunflower.
However, I actually think there's enough composition to place them in Center, but then there's that RULE OF THIRD's that still haunt me.
Let me know if I passed!!!
Love these color.

My jaw is still on the floor looking at this background. Right away, I want to put my subject in that small corner to the right where the wall and the (pillar?) meet. Then I thought right in front of the pillar, then they would not be hidden by the foliage. I just want to be able to balance the both the subject and the surrounding and not take away from either one.
It would depend on who I was photographing. Children I might pose just behind the plants, playfully peeking out in the spaces between the plants. A man, posed against the front or against (my) right of the "pillar" (what is that thing?). A group of women (say 3), I would pose two behind the plants, one in front (that "pillar" throws me, though). If it was a self portrait, I'd move a light so my shadow would be cast onto the wall near the pillar. That's kinda my signature thing lately...
This is an awesome place to do a photo shoot. So many options. Ross. I am from Dallas, and I am a huge fan of your work! You are awesome. It takes a lot to make wedding photos stand out from the norm, and you've definitely accomplished that. Let me know when you'll be doing "anything" in Dallas. Oh! and congratulations on your engagement you guys look very happy! God's blessings!
ohhh i love this photograph!
i love how the light shines on the green leaves making them pop out and the contrast with the red wall.
