experience KNIGHT - 1 down - 2 to go!

10 months ago I had a vision. The vision was to offer my business knowledge and photography expertise to beginning photographers looking to enhance their skills. The odds were against me. I have never attended formal Photography School nor do I have an MBA in Business or Marketing. I haven't put together a power point presentation in over 3 years!

What I had on my side was my passion for photography and my commitment to helping people. I love people! I get excited just thinking about discussing new ideas, debating old ideas, and developing plans for the future.

So with all of this in mind, I set out to fulfill the vision (see entry: write the vision) and further support the purpose of my company: Building Community Through Photography.

Over 6 months, I compiled all of the thoughts, ideas, experiences, advice, wisdom, successes, failures, techniques, business, marketing, lighting, composition, tips and everything in between - all into what I called the KNIGHT experience.

On February 8, 2008 - the first brave souls stepped into my premiere workshop! They came from Illinois, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, and Georgia! I could not have asked for a better crowd. This class will always be special to me because they were my first. I feel blessed to have met them all.

As I quickly learned, we're gonna have to extend the workshop into a full two-day affair.

Enjoy the slide show above! Also, I 'll post some images taken by the workshop participants soon.

April and July Workshops - get ready!!!

If you are interested in attending the KNIGHT experience, send us an email at: workshops@rossoscarknight.com.

I find it truly amazing that you are willing to unselfishly share your gift. Many would not, for fear of the student becoming greater than the teacher. You have such a open heart and I bless God for you! I see you're still advertising for your next 2 classes and your photos of the first session have made me jealous. Look out for me!

Mr. Knight:
After you shared the Gray/Williams engagement on your website, I was completely captivated by your heart. You are truly gifted and "There is more." I believe that your steps are ordered by "The Father" and I feel this great sense of beauty within (it comes out through the lens). I saw your engagement photos and was quite enamored how you washed her feet as "The Father" washed the disciples feet. You talk about your own engagement and the process that is taking you to being domesticated. Not too many men are able to reach in and take a look at all the components to which it takes to become a husband, father and soulmate. The future Mrs. Knight knows that there is so much more. I can stay on your website for hours just to hear you ponder your thoughts about life. I hope to one day be photographed by you because, I believe that the connection is great for all of those who believe. "There is more" stay blessed Mr. Knight. I see that you are sharing your talent through a workshop. I know that God is in this plan. I am honored to know that there are men out there who belive. You are highly favored.

Ross, first, let me say thank you. I just found out that I was accepted into your April workshop. It's just after 1AM and I am so excited that I can't sleep. The images from the first class look so appealing; looks like you guys had a great time. Second, I must tell you that you are touched. You bring images to life with such fierceness. Well, suffice it to say that I can't wait until April 4th and 5th. Stay blessed!

Hi Ross, I was just notified that I was accepted into the April workshop. Yippee! Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend because I am currently in South Korea teaching English for the next year. It hurt me to send the reply e-mail saying I was unable to participate. I would not have come to Korea 2 months ago, if I would have known that I would be selected..lol I really want to be there. I hope that you will offer the workshops again in 2009 *fingers and toes crossed*. I can't believe that I have to miss it...But everything will happen in God's perfect timing! Thanks for keeping me motivated and excited about photography.

May God Continue to Bless You!
