Sunrise Through My Eyes - The Silent Shadow Portrait

Wednesday, July 2, 2008

Yesterday at 7 AM while you may have been still sleeping, getting the kids ready, or in rush hour traffic I was out shooting. Thanks to www.weather.com and a few lighting research trips before going to the gym I knew that sunrise was at 6:31 AM. I was looking to use the early morning directional light to capture a special image of this couple. I wanted to take advantage of the light at a low angle entering one of the windows through the trees, however, the height of the home and the roof made this idea more challenging than first thought. After searching through the newly constructed home for a while I found the "sweet spot." The lower level basement. Perfect!

I hope that you enjoy the image.

I have been viewing your blog and site from some time now as an aspiring photographer and never commented (a little shy) until I saw this photograph. It speaks volumes...

Please allow me to lend words to this beautiful photograph…

This moment
creates eternity
Stolen
in peace and love
it has transformed us into a
silent eloquence that no
one can deny
Embraced by the sun
the softness of your touch has
illuminated the solstice of my
heart leaving it with an eternal flame of one
soft simple kiss from you

Through your camera's lens and the couples' hearts I was moved to render these words
Peace and Blessings!
