Fred + Tia | Destin, FL - It's For Real (Part I)

Friday, July 10, 2009

Ever since shooting Fred and Tia's engagement session in Pensacola (March 2009) I had been anticipating photographing their wedding in Destin two months later. I just really enjoyed the time spent getting to know the couple and their unique story. Turns out, I didn't have to wait too long for the big day because May 23rd (also my sister's birthday) rolled around faster than I could blink. We arrived in Florida the Friday before the wedding just in time to hear the changes to the original layout of the ceremony. Everyone was in a delightful mood and I spent a good while speaking with Fred's mom about how it was time to let go.

Although we produced an album from the engagement session and printed a huge canvas for guests to sign at the welcome reception, I couldn't help but be surprised to see my images on display. It was like looking in a mirror (weird!) as I stood in front of the table and the easel. Anyways, the ceremony and reception was truly one-of-a-kind. Fred and Tia sought ways to make their wedding resemble so many things they liked. Instead of typing them all I will let you review the images from the next two posts and you'll see for yourself. Enjoy!

Love how rich that purple is and the contrast against the stark white of the bride's gown. Can't wait to see the rest of the pics!

GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS. That purple is the most beautiful shade I have ever seen. The flowers are perfect with it. Those women are stunning too. Another great job, Ross. Your work is such a pleasure. I know Tia and Fred must be thrilled to have these!

Hi Ross, I haven't posted a comment in a while but I look at your website a couple of times a week at least. These pictures are amazing. You are truly one of the best. Thank you for being a constant source of inspiration for me. Hopefully I'll get to take your workshop course one of these days. Be blessed.
