Cameron + Amanda | Atlanta, GA - I Can Feel Your Halo

Friday, October 23, 2009

Earlier this week, I shot at the sun-drenched landscape of Piedmont Park. It was early, so the air was brisk and the grass was wet with morning dew. Just a sparse amount of fog remained, but it was soon burned away by rays of light and the heat coming from the visible chemistry of my subjects.

It's the beginning of fall, and this was the perfect day to photograph the budding love of Cameron and Amanda. During our initial wedding consultation, Cameron let me know that one of his favorite musical groups was "The Roots". That gave him a total plus in my book! Amanda interjected to say that the story of their relationship could be summed up with the song "Halo" by Beyonce' (yet, another plus since I love that song). I promised that their engagement session would be just as relaxed as our conversation. Every time these two interact, its as if they're enamored by one another's mere presence. The song "Halo" became my inspiration for the first couple of images. After that, the romantic vibe kicked in and we just had fun. A special thanks to Anna Beth for her help since we dubbed her "The Bag Lady" before the end of the shoot.

I had a great time with you, Cameron and Amanda, and I look forward to the wedding next spring!
