We had great results with our DIY scrim. Basically Yvonne and I built it with pvc pipe, a shower curtain, and velcro. After the first field test we decided to forgo the velcro and actually sew a loop for the shower curtain to fit snug on the pvc. I'll admit that the interns holding the scrim during the shoot almost took flight. The wind was strong and the curtain turned into a sail.
