KNIGHT Purpose: "Build Community Through Photography"

I have a personal goal to participate in at least one mission trip a year. This year I have chosen Honduras to visit and to offer my service to humanity. In August, I will be traveling to Roatan - the largest of three islands located in the Caribbean Sea called the "Bay Islands" or "Las Islas de La Bahia." While I am there I will be working with Roatan Alive through four main events: Women's Conference, Men's Outreach, Teen Outreach, and Children's Bible Day Camp. I will also be visiting schools, hospitals, and prisons.

Roatan Alive began fours years ago under the leadership of Darla Cherrington Sutherland, a native of Honduras. The purpose of the mission is to strengthen the church, community, and family unit. I met Darla's daughter, Darcie, two years ago at one of my workshops in Atlanta. After she shared with me the purpose of the mission trip I knew that it aligned perfectly with my company's purpose - To Build Community Through Photography.

I am currently raising $1500 to cover the cost of my trip. I have already raised $1000 by selling some of my camera equipment. If you are interested in making a donation (however small) send an email to me at ross@rossoscarknight.com. Please keep me in your prayers and make sure to check the blog and facebook for updates.
