Watching the Sun Set - Thar Desert in Rajasthan (राजस्थान) Northwest India by ROK

Wednesday, December 14, 2011

I've been shooting in North and South India for nearly a month and I can't begin to describe the incredible experience. I was blessed to shoot a 3-day wedding in Vadodara, Gujurat India. Right now I am trying to get back to a normal sleeping schedule. That's why I'm blogging at 3:30 AM! During week two of the trip I traveled to Jaipur in Rajasthan and rode a camel for the first time in my life. After watching the sun set I slept outside my tent in the open under the stars. For once I kept a written journal so hopefully you will enjoy the tidbits that I share with you about my journey over the next few months. Feel free to post any questions via my blog or facebook.

Great image! I'm really looking forward to hearing about your travels. Was it weird riding on a camel?

Saadia - that camel looked at me like, "So you really want to do this huh? I could leave you out here in the middle of the desert and bounce."

Hey Ross, your picture and story makes me want to go back to India again. I shot my first Indian Wedding here in the states last week. It was AMAZING!!!!!!! Can't wait to see more of your pictures!

LOL Ross that is fantastic (the commentary about the camel). Stunning work as always Ross! I feel like I should have a better commentary but that is the best I have now.
