Ross Oscar Knight Haiti Exhibit Toured by International Visitors to Emory University

Wednesday, April 3, 2013

Last week international visitors from Comoros, Egypt, Kenya, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Russia and Venezuela toured my Beauty in the Face of Destruction (post earthquake Haiti) exhibit at Emory University's Center for Ethics. The participants were part of a multi-regional project, The International Visitor Leadership Program, inspiring leadership and civic participation. One of the goals of the project is to examine the concepts of democracy, government and citizenship, and their importance to U.S. civil society. The tour and discussion was led by director of the Arts & Ethics Initiative, Carlton Mackey.

On April 4, 2013 (6:30 PM), Ross Oscar Knight will give an artist talk discussing his photography exhibit and his 2013 return trip to Haiti. Knight has formed a partnership with Community2Community to support the organization's Haiti Restoration and Transformation Pilot Project - School, Road, Forest and Water Initiatives.

Ross,

Although I don't know you personally, I have followed your work for years. In the last couple of years, I've focused a ton of energy into my own photo business and regular life so I must admit I haven't been to your blog in a while. BUT! I'm catching up now and I have to say how proud of you and am amazed to see how far you and Brandi have come over the years. Your family is truly blessed. Thank you for continuing to share your story with us and giving thanks to Him from whom all blessing flow!

Hopefully one of these days I'll make it out to a workshop. :)

All the best,
Nicole
