All grown up...

Thursday, May 24, 2007

This must be the year of graduations for my family. My youngest sister graduated from Washington High School yesterday. She has grown into such a beautiful woman over the years. The Pensacola News Journal thought so too because they put her picture on the front page!

I was 10 when she was born and I used to ask myself what she would be like when she got older. Well, it didn't take long because she was talking and singing by the time she made it home from the hospital. Not really a surprise since she had 6 siblings and had to find a way to get her point across.

Congrats Jessica!!! Now let's get this photo shoot together so I can enter you for America's Next Top Model!

At last - Jeff and Mandi Davis!

Tuesday, May 8, 2007

Wedding: Roswell Presbyterian Church, Roswell, GA
Reception: Country Club of the South, John's Creek, GA
After Party: Still TBD

After five years Jeff and Mandi decided to tie the knot! The moment I met this couple for the first time, I knew they were meant for one another. I also knew that with their fun-loving personalities I was in for the wedding of a lifetime. That's why I chose to include this wedding in my upcoming video - "A Day in the Life of Knight - The Knight Experience." Look out for the video trailer later this Summer!

I started shooting the festivities for this wedding the night before at Ivy Hall, the location for the rehearsal dinner. It was truly amazing to experience the outpouring of emotion from friends and family. On the day of the wedding I arrived early to the Villa at the Country Club and rode with the bride and bridesmaids to the church on a party bus. I can honestly say that these folks know how to party. After the wedding, we partied until one in the morning! Jeff and Mandi ended the night by parting through the crowd of loved ones waving sparklers. I had just enough flash for one more shot! Check out the pictures below! Thanks Jeff and Mandi for a fabulous time!!

A Civil Rights Legend...

Thursday, May 3, 2007

Recently I had the esteemed priviledge to shoot the elaborate art collection of Congressman John Lewis, a Civil Rights Legend. Congressman Lewis marched alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and others during a time in our country's history when all people were not seen as equal. As I walked through his collection of paintings and artifacts, it was almost chilling. I saw 70 years of history right before my eyes! Also, I learned that the Congressman's favorite artist is Romare Bearden.

Also pictured below (in orange sweater) is Howard Brown, International Interior Designer. Howard's designs are amazing! He has helped his clients around the globe to shape their art collections and transform the interiors of their homes.

Wedding, Golf, and Whole lot of Fun!

Wednesday, May 2, 2007

I knew after Phil and Kym's engagement session that their wedding would be so much fun to shoot. The location of the wedding was the White Water Country Club in Fayetteville, GA. Although the temperature was 35 degrees outside and despite Phil having the sniffles, we pulled this one off. Kym was absolutely stunning!!! One thing that I did not expect was for the kids at the wedding to put on such a show. Not only were the kids completely adorable but they also danced more than the adults!

See below how I mixed the golf theme with the wedding to make memorable photos during this special day.
