New Business Card Design - I Gave into Letterpress

I'm really proud of the final design and print of my first letterpress business card! I worked with Debra Saba of Luxe Expressions to bring my vision to life. We used a mix of two different papers to get the exact feel and the depth that I wanted. This new card fits well with our new branding strategy and there is much more to come.

The Warmest Engagement Session in Inman Park by Ross Oscar Knight

I photographed Ramtin and Forough in Inman Park. They are actually already married but I was working with makeup artist Carmen Harris on her portfolio. We talked a great deal during the shoot and the couple ended up coming to the grand opening for my gallery last month. I called this the warmest session because of the color temperature of the light around 7 PM that accented the obvious warmth of this relationship.

The Last Workshop of the Year by Ross Oscar Knight - Recap

October 15th and 16th I taught my final photography workshop of 2010. What a class!!! Everyone arrived earlier than I expected ready to learn and get out and shoot. The weather was gorgeous and for the first time ever we had a Canon vs. Nikon tug-o-war (shhh, it was staged). Two of my prior students (Eric C. 2008 and Eric P. 2010) came to help teach and one (Dennis 2008) returned to take the business class. I was totally impressed with everyone's ability to grasp concepts quickly and to ask all of the right questions. My father-in-law joined us for the class and also one of my brides from a January 2010 wedding in Central America attended. We photographed two "real" couples for our Building Community Through Photography initiative. Our lunch was catered by one of my Morehouse brother's - Black Tie Barbecue. My new studio manager Yvonne did a fantastic job coordinating both days and keeping me on track.

P.S. I know I am missing some transitions in the sentences above but I am typing and posting just as fast as I can to catch up!

I planned a private showing of my Haiti Exhibition (Beauty in The Face of Destruction) at Environment for 10.28.10. After much thought I have decided to open the event to anyone who wants to come out to view the show. KNIGHT Gallery - Haiti Images at Candler Park Tour of Homes - 10.24.10 12 Noon - 6 PM

I am honored to have two of my images ("Unguarded" and "Kaynep") from Haiti in the home of Richard and Marishyl Ford. The images are on display for the Candler Park Tour of Homes this weekend in Atlanta. I stopped by on Wednesday to drop off the frames and I took snapshots of the couple hanging the prints. They have the coolest photo hanging crown molding that makes the hanging process a breeze.
