The Path to Liberation by Ross Oscar Knight

Sunday, March 20, 2011

I stumbled across this composition of shattered glass amidst a stagnant pool of water. It made me ponder the following:

We all go through some hurt or sense of grief in our life that adds to our perspective of the future. Perhaps a family tragedy, a lost job, a financial catastrophe or a broken relationship could be an example of what determines our own forecast. Failure can seem to weigh us down in the murkiness of sorrow even more than success lifts us up in the illumination of happiness. What we learn or don't learn from our journey of circumstances will determine...

I'll let you finish the thought for yourself.

You have no idea how much I needed these specific words today. Perfectly fitting in a difficult moment..... And a reminder that I am still strong enough to persevere. Thank you for this breath of air. Elisa

WOW, Ross...I love what you said! The line "Failure can seem to weigh us down in the murkiness of sorrow even more than success lifts us up in the illumination of happiness." is so true. Why do we often hold on to the sorrow and release the joy? I have made it my life's mission that no matter what circumstance in which I find myself, to always, always choose joy.

Thank you for inspiring me once again
