Central Park Manhattan New York Engagement Session by Ross Oscar Knight | Ron + Patrice

Tuesday, July 27, 2010

Patrice and Ron met me in Central Park for their engagement session. It had been two years since I shot there so the day before I searched for new areas to highlight. The day of the shoot we all hitched a ride with a bike taxi to get closer to our desired location. The poor driver was struggling to pedal up the hill. I think he underestimated the total weight of five people (1. driver 2/3. couple 4. me 5. my equipment)! There was also a triathlon going on at the same time which made navigation rather interesting. Once we made it to the bridge, Patrice whipped out a pair of heels from her bag and we were all set to go. I learned some interesting facts about the couple. Ron has an eye for fashion and great taste in jewelry. He even picks out some of Patrice's digs. For Patrice, I believe she could scale a 20 foot wall in less than 60 seconds. I witnessed her climb rocks at the park faster than I could change lenses to shoot.

I'm headed back to New York at the end of August for the wedding. In the meantime, check out the laughter and thoughts captured in the images below.
