Introducing Lauren Simone...by Mrs. KNIGHT

Wednesday, May 7, 2008

Welcome Lauren Simone! This adorable little lady is the daughter of two of my closest friends from college. After 5 years of marriage, Michael and Simone were blessed with a baby girl. I was so excited to be able witness her very early morning entrance into the world in February. Now, at 2 months old, her parents entrusted me to capture Lauren's first photographs.

Let me say, shooting a baby is definitely different than shooting a wedding. At a wedding, I normally give our clients direction, guiding them into poses for the shot. They listen, we shoot. Miss Lauren had a different idea and I had to follow her lead. She moved, kicked, cried, and eventually all-out screamed, but by the end of the shoot (and a bottle), she turned out to be a perfect model. She warmed up to the camera like a pro. She was even used to the shutter click and would turn her head in the direction of the camera. America's Next Top Model...watch out!

Thank you to Michael and Simone for letting me be a part of Lauren's life - literally from the beginning. You all are a beautiful family now complete with a beautiful daughter.

Thanks to my husband for being my assistant for the day! It's good for you to walk in my shoes...

Check out a few of my images...enjoy!

...(and a bottle) - thats funny, but so real. U know I was reading this and was thinking "Isnt this supposed to be Brandi's shoot?" Then realized at the end that it is signed Mrs KNIGHT :) Thats an effect of being accustomed to reading Ross' writing and that brings me to my next point - you both write alike.

"It's good for you to walk in my shoes..." Brandi, u r HILARIOUS!!!!!! Funniest thing is that, while you both journey together, you'll be saying that outside that business realm too. Oh to be a woman! LOL

Now to the pics:

WOW Brandi, u have it down-pat (second shot is LIKE THAT). Im impressed. Hmmmmm. I really like. (Can u see me smiling and nodding?) LOL

WOW Brandi, 3rd shot is sweeeeet. Im still smiling.

4th shot - Captivating. Beautiful child.

5th shot - U really have it Brandi. It's here - "KNIGHT Kids by Dr Mrs KNIGHT"

6th shot - I call this siiiick

7th shot - Lovely and I love the way just small section of mommy's face is captured so we can see who's holding the baby. Artistic

8th shot - Happy. I love it

9th shot - U really have it Brandi. U r learning from the best.

WAAAYYYYYY 2 go Brandi. I know this is very exciting for you and Im very excited with you. Cant wait to see more of your work. We have two future jobs for u - 1. when baby HaYnes is on his or her way and 2. when baby HaYnes arrives.

Blessings and nuff nuff encouragement to you. I know Ross is proud.

Wow. These were absolutely fantastic! I certainly credit your husband for how he's rubbed off on you :) However, some of those shots you captured, clearly have a woman's touch. Y'all make it look so easy. Congrats! Looks like you have the makings of a second career if the doctor thing doesn't work out. Well done.

Mrs. Knight (or is it Dr. Mrs. Knight?) these are so beautiful. I can't wait until I visit my little granddaughter (born a year ago the day before my birthday) and her brothers to try my hand at what you and Ross share.

Beautiful shots, but I must say I at first thought Ross's comment on the intro photo in the previous post meant something else...hint hint. Am I the only one?:)
I really enjoy all the photos you post, always.
